Summary:
During the Anti-Japanese War in Shanghai, the progressive young woman Han Shu Ying was forced to marry North Jiangsu tycoon Xie Bing Yan as a concubine. Han Shu Ying escaped from marriage but was discovered by the eldest lady, Xie Ruo Xue. After witnessing Xie Bing Yan being shot dead by the Japanese because he was unwilling to betray his country, he decided to stay and protect the Xie family.
