17-year old high school student and basketball player Migiwa has a secret crush on a boy named Riku. One day, Riku asks her if she surfs, and without thinking she lies and says she does. Migiwa quickly begins practicing on her own to cover for her lie, but when she gets swept up in a wave, the board drifts away from her and gets lost. Panicked, she hops on her bike and pedals around the coastal area of Shonan looking for anywhere it may have washed up.
